In this context, the L'OCCITANE Foundation has chosen to support the "Étincelles" program of the NGO Empow'Her. Empow'Her is an NGO working for the economic and social empowerment of women around the world. It supports their access to education and training, strengthens their skills and supports them in their entrepreneurial initiatives.
Through the "Étincelles" project, the L'OCCITANE Foundation supports women aged 18 to 35 living in rural areas in Burkina Faso. The aim of this program is to give them access to professional and entrepreneurship training and enable them to develop their activities in promising sectors to realize their entrepreneurial projects. This project, developed since December 2018, will reach 40 women from the provinces of Comoé, Houet, Sanguié and Sissili, and will last 14 months.
In order to enable women to develop their skills and the leadership to carry out their projects, the "Étincelles" program is structured around 3 phases:
- The support phase for business creation and development. This phase combines practical training in entrepreneurship and individual coaching to reveal the potential of women and drive their projects.
- The technical apprenticeship phase with a focus on creativity and innovation. This training will be conducted by partner training institutes and will be associated with personal development workshops to enable women to feel legitimate in their new sector of activity.
- The diagnostic phase, which will enable the identification of promising and innovative jobs, aligned with the realities of the target areas and the needs and ambitions of the women beneficiaries of the program.
