An accessible website for the visually impaired

In 1997, L’OCCITANE committed to helping those with vision problems by adding braille to as much of its product packaging as possible, making it accessible to those with a visual impairment and to the blind.

When it was created in 2006, the L'OCCITANE Foundation made the fight against avoidable blindness one of its three priorities.

To this end, the L’OCCITANE Foundation website is accessible to the visually impaired. The site has been designed with the help of Temesis: a consultancy and training company in the field of website and app quality and accessibility. Following an audit, the L’OCCITANE Foundation has received guidance on how to design its website to meet WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards at AA level.
